Born on July 27, 1907 in Baltimore, Maryland, Ed Carroll (Edgar Fleischer Carroll) played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 1 year career. Carroll broke into the bigs on May 1, 1929 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.61 ERA in 67.1 innings pitched in 1929, his rookie year.
