Ed Carrington (Edward Codrington Carrington, Jr.) was born on September 1, 1944 in Beaumont, Texas. After going to high school at Episcopal (Alexandria, VA), Carrington attended the University of Virginia. Carrington made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
