Ed Brett (Edwin D. Brett) was born on March 20, 1914 in Lewiston, Idaho. After going to high school at Lewiston (ID), Brett attended Washington State Universtiy. Brett made his professional debut in the NFL in 1936 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1937 was Ed Brett's best year.
