Born on January 6, 1935 in Florida, Cuba, Ed Bauta (Eduardo (Galvez) Bauta) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets over the course of his 5 year career. Bauta broke into the bigs on July 6, 1960 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.27 ERA in 71.2 innings pitched in 1963, his rookie year.
