Ed Barney (Edmund J. Barney) was born on January 23, 1890 in Amery, Wisconsin. He made his Major League debut on July 22, 1915 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1915, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 0 home runs and 13 RBI. Barney played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees over the course of his 2 year career.
