Ed Allen (Edmund Joseph Allen) was born on June 5, 1901 in Dixon, Illinois. After going to high school at Dixon (IL), Allen attended Creighton University. Allen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1928 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
