Earl Webb

Earl Webb (William Earl Webb) was born on September 17, 1897 in White County, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on August 13, 1925 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1927, his rookie year, he hit .301 with 14 home runs and 52 RBI. Webb played for the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Earl Webb's best season was 1931, when he hit for a .333 average and knocked in 103 runs.
