Born on September 7, 1887 in Middleburg, Ohio, Earl Moseley (Earl Victor Moseley) played for the Boston Red Sox, Newark Peppers and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Moseley broke into the bigs on June 17, 1913 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.13 ERA in 120.2 innings pitched in 1913, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Earl Moseley's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1914, when he posted a 3.47 ERA, won 19 games and struck out 205 batters. However, others believe that it was 1915, when he posted a 1.91 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 142 batters.
