Earl Maves (Earl C. Maves) was born on April 12, 1923 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Stanley (WI), Maves attended the University of Wisconsin. Maves made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
