Earl Harrist

Born on April 20, 1919 in Dubach, Louisiana, Earl Harrist (Earl Harrist) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 5 year career. Harrist broke into the bigs on August 18, 1945 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.61 ERA in 62.1 innings pitched in 1945, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Earl Harrist's best season was 1947, when he posted a 3.56 ERA and struck out 55 batters.
