Earl Girard (Earl F. Girard) was born on January 25, 1927 in Marinette, Wisconsin. Girard attended the University of Wisconsin. Girard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1954 was Earl Girard's best year, as he caught 7 TD passes and had a 41 yard punt average.
