Eagles win the Superbowl???

I just saw a segment on ESPN News in which Hank Goldberg and Merrell Hoge both picked the Philadelphia Eagles come come out of the NFC. All of this got me thinking that it would be rather ironic if the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Afterall, Terrell Owens said that he couldn't win a Super Bowl with Jeff Garcia and that he needed a quarterback of Donovan McNabb's caliber. When the truth of the matter was that all the Eagles needed to win the Super Bowl was to get rid of McNabb and sign Jeff Garcia. Not only that, but it would mean that Rush Limbaugh was right all along. I am afraid that if the Eagles win the Super Bowl it just might tear a hole in the time space continuum.

Hoge hates the Eagles. He has hated them since he was booed loudly when he played against them at the old Vet. I cannot believe that he would pick the Eagles to win anything. This is the same guy whp said the Eagles, after a hot start in 2004, was not going to make the playoffs.

ESPN News tends to replay the same segments over and over you should see if you can try and catch it. Him and Hammerin Hank handicap all the games and both mention the Eagles as "this year's Steelers." At the end of the segment Hoge throws away a Saints hat and says the new team to beat in the NFC is the Eagles and puts on their hat. He said he has been going against them for years but he likes them now because they are finally running the football.

It wouldn't really be ironic, but it would probably threaten the space-time continuum. Then again, anyone but the Bears winning from the NFC probably would. :)
