ESPN's Worst Play by Play Announcer

I think he could be a little better, but I'm satisfied with what he does announcing..

Tirico isn't all that good at football, but excels at covering golf. There's a coupla "second tier" college football guys that should be doing something else. All that being said, who ever schedules people for coverage duty and pust brent "idjit" musburger on any sport needs beaten senseless. The dude may have had is day at one point, but he's completely incompetent now.

He Tirico is pretty solid at football I think. I think he will do better this year since the booth is better. Agreed on the second tier football guys there are a lot of bad ones there. Berman is horrible, Ive never liked him.

Mike Greenberg doing Arena football is absolutely putrid. He sounds lost the entire broadcast. I caught him yesterday doing a game, and I think he should ditch the play by play and stick to yukking it up on the AM Radio show. This is aside from the fact that Arena football is a joke to begin with.

To be honest, I really couldn't stand the Monday Night Football announce team. Now here is a question, how does Tony Kornheiser get hired to be an announcer for MNF, the best football show of all time, with 0 qualifications except PTI? I mean can we write and become announcers too.

I hate Greenberg and Golic. There new ESPN Radio set is unprofessional and they hardly take fan callers.

"This is aside from the fact that Arena football is a joke to begin with."- Well, Sean, I guess that's why ESPN signed a TV contract with them. To make it not a joke but then again, I've not watched an Arena football game for more than 5 minutes because it's a joke.

There is nothing worse than Dave O'Brien doing Soccer. He's not a great baseball announcer to begin with, and then they threw him cold turkey into a sport he knew absolutely nothing about. He was busting out his high-school Spanish and saying names like "Ramos!!!" and trying to roll the R with a flourish. It was terrible. Just terrible. It would be like sending an English Soccer commentator to do a baseball game.

HE'S A VERY POPULAR RED SOX ANNOUNCER. One of the major problems with soccer fans is their collective small-mindedness. Get over it! BTW, ESPN/ABC was nominted for an Emmy for that coverage. You are wrong on all counts.

SSreporters is a soccer snob, and a is simply lying. Absolutely not true. O'Brien is one of the few baseball announcers around who allows crowd noise - one of the reasons he is immensely popular with Red Sox Nation. These soccer idiots at so dishonest it is pathetic.
