Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd has revealed he's met Fulham striker Collins John this week to discuss as £3.25million transfer to the Hornets.
John's alleged £20k per week wage demands had been reported as a stumbling block on the deal but the charismatic Yorkshireman has been pulling out all the stops to persuade the 21 year old Dutch hitman that his future lies at Vicarage Road.
Despite his young age and relatively slow start to this season, John has a proven scoring record in the Premier League and still averages better than one goal in every two games for the Cottagers. Boothroyd and the Watford fans know that a quality striker could start converting draws into wins and be the key to survival as they battle against relegation this season.
