Dutch Hoffman (Clarence Casper Hoffman) was born on January 28, 1904 in Freeburg, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 23, 1929 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1929, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 3 home runs and 37 RBI. Hoffman played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 1 year career.
