Born on February 12, 1912 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dutch Dietz (Lloyd Arthur Dietz) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Dietz broke into the bigs on April 26, 1940 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.33 ERA in 100.1 innings pitched in 1941, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dutch Dietz's best season was 1941, when he posted a 2.33 ERA.
