Dusty Rhodes (James Lamar Rhodes) was born on May 13, 1927 in Mathews, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on July 15, 1952 for the New York Giants. In 1952, his rookie year, he hit .250 with 10 home runs and 36 RBI. Rhodes played for the New York Giants for his entire 6 year career.

Most people believe that Dusty Rhodes's best season was 1954, when he slugged 15 home runs, hit for a .341 average and knocked in 50 runs.
