Duke Sims (Duane B. Sims) was born on June 5, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He made his Major League debut on September 22, 1964 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1966, his rookie year, he hit .263 with 6 home runs and 19 RBI. Sims played for the Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Texas Rangers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Duke Sims's best season was 1970, when he slugged 23 home runs and knocked in 56 runs.
