Duke Osborn (Robert Duke Osborn) was born on February 1, 1897 in Falls Creek. After going to high school at DuBois (PA), Osborn attended Pennsylvania State University. Osborn made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Canton Bulldogs. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Canton Bulldogs the entire time. Osborn also played in the NFL for 7 years, playing for the Pottsville Maroons, Canton Bulldogs and Cleveland Bulldogs over the course of his 7 year NFL career.
