Duke Iverson (Chris Arnold Iverson) was born on February 26, 1920 in Petaluma, California. After going to high school at Petaluma (CA), Iverson attended the University of Oregon. Iverson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the New York Giants. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the New York Yanks and New York Giants over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Iverson also played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time.

Most people believe that 1950 was Duke Iverson's best year, as he picked off 3 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
