Duffy Dyer (Don Robert Dyer) was born on August 15, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 21, 1968 for the New York Mets. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .209 with 2 home runs and 12 RBI. Dyer played for the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 14 year career.
