Drop Step

(From http://en.mimi.hu/basketball/drop_step.html) When the post player is played on either side the big man catches the ball and drops foot furthest from the defender right to the basket. He will pin his man, keeping the defender on his back.

Jump Step definition -> A jump taken to stop the dribble while covering more distance. After the drop step, the player is allowed to take two more steps before being called for a traveling violating.
