Drew Bledsoe's Comeback with the Atlanta Falcons?

In a completely unsubstantiated report based upon pure wild speculation devoid of any eye witnesses or proven facts, Drew Bledsoe is indeed contemplating a return to the NFL by allegedly preparing to join the Atlanta Falcons training camp.

It is wildly rumored among nobody that Bledsoe has been itching to return to the big show shortly after being unceremoniously cut by the Dallas Cowboys who are apparently more than enthralled with the steady hands of future quarterback legend Tony Romo.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank probably did not meet with Bledsoe last night to iron out contractual details to begin the 35 year old quarterback's comeback. However, it does seem evident that Blank would be eager to steer away from any quarterback bearing resemblance to the estranged Michael Vick. In no way, shape or form, would Falcon fans confuse the prowess of Bledsoe scrambling and rushing with Vick.

The following 10 Reasons for Bledsoe's Comeback with the Falcons was received in my email inbox this morning. We cannot confirm at all that this was from Drew Bledsoe but then again what does it really matter?

Top 10

10. Drew Bledsoe would play for peanuts. Well maybe not literally, but his price would be pretty damn cheap. Blank likes that. A lot.

9. Drew Bledsoe loves dogs. He won't even eat brats or footlongs. A pure hamburger consuming man.

8. The "real" Drew Bledsoe is quite the blogger! Ever read  Tony Homo.com?

7. Drew Bledsoe once played for the New England Patriots! ArmchairGM posters love that team unconditionally!

6. 251 Career touchdowns. In multiple coaching systems. The Falcons OC can finally call for a passing play without fear.

5. Drew Bledsoe can throw a football. Real far.

4. Bill Parcells once called Drew Bledsoe "the greatest quarterback that I ever coached". Nobody can confirm this but I am positive it happened.

3. Drew Bledsoe has never faced federal indictment charges. He won't even get a parking ticket. A great role model for all other NFL players to emulate.

2. The NFL has not been the same since Bledsoe's retirement. The dark side of the force has clearly shadowed over the league. I will leave the statistical relevance of this correlative observation to others here on the website.

1. And introducing the starting quarterback of your Atlanta Falcons, from Walla Walla, Washington, Drew Friggin' Bledsoe! Sounds cool doesn't it?

Great article Tyrone. Coincidently enough, I opened an email that had a picture of Bledsoe sporting cornrows, with several "Bled-hoes" gathered at his feet...

Top Ten Quarterbacks I'd Like To See in ATL Instead Michael Vick.

10. Ryan Leaf (why not, at least he admits he is an a$$) 9. Jeff George (been there done that) 8. Kurt Warner (always done well indoors) 7. Todd Marinovich (birds of a feather) 6. Timmy Chang (NCAA All Time Passing Leader) 5. Chris Rix (always liked him better as a player than a broadcaster) 4. Daunte Culpepper (if at first you don't succeed) 3. Drew Bledsoe (better QB in his sleep than Vick will ever be.) 2. Matt Schaub (nevermind Houston already gave him that job over another former #1)

1. Charlie Ward (fresh arm)

Culpepper is the likely QB who will now join the Falcons because of the Vick situation.

Blank might be a little worried about Culpepper's Good Ship Lollypop past and a whole lot more concerned about the QB's knee.

I'd like to see Testaverde try. Or Randall Cunningham. Yeah he's 44 and long retired, but he could still probably put up better numbers than Vick. In BOTH running and passing.

Wonder if the Falcons regret losing Matt Shaub now. I have no idea how he will do this year but at least he knows the system.

With a new coach coming in, both Vick and Shaub would be starting fresh in a new system....anyone coming in now would have missed all of Petrino's off season workouts..
