Drake Garrett (Drake F. Garrett) was born on March 19, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio. After going to high school at Dunbar (Dayton, OH), Garrett attended Michigan State University. Garrett made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time. Garrett also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time.

Most people believe that 1968 was Drake Garrett's best year.
