Doug Wilkerson (Douglas Wilkerson) was born on March 27, 1947 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After going to high school at E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC), Wilkerson attended North Carolina Central University. Wilkerson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the San Diego Chargers and Houston Oilers over the course of his 15 year career.
