Doug Widell (Douglas Joseph Widell) was born on September 23, 1966 in Hartford, Connecticut. After going to high school at South Catholic (Hartford, CT), Widell attended Boston College. Widell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 9 year career.
