Doug Van Horn (Douglas Claydon Van Horn) was born on June 24, 1944 in Sedalia, Ohio. After going to high school at Eastmoor (Columbus, OH), Van Horn attended Ohio State University. Van Horn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the New York Giants and Detroit Lions over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Doug Van Horn's best year.
