Doug Nott (Douglas N. Nott) was born on June 14, 1911 in Pontiac, Michigan. After going to high school at Ann Arbor (MI), Nott attended the University of Detroit Mercy. Nott made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
