Doug Mayberry (Douglas Clark Mayberry) was born on March 23, 1937 in Arbuckle, California. After going to high school at Colusa (CA), Mayberry attended Univeristy of California, Utah State University and Yuba College. Mayberry made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Minnesota Vikings the entire time. Mayberry also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Oakland Raiders the entire time.

Most people believe that 1962 was Doug Mayberry's best year.
