Born on February 9, 1965 in Santa Ana, California, Doug Linton (Douglas Warren Linton) played for the Toronto Blue Jays, California Angels, New York Mets, Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 7 year career. Linton broke into the bigs on August 3, 1992 with the Toronto Blue Jays, and put up a 4.47 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched in 1994, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Doug Linton's best season was 1996, when he struck out 87 batters.
