Doug Jones (Douglas Charles Jones) was born on May 31, 1950 in San Diego, California. After going to high school at Lincoln (San Diego, CA), Jones attended Arizona State University, California State University, Northridge and San Diego City College. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1977 was Doug Jones's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
