Doug Griffin (Douglas Lee Griffin) was born on June 4, 1947 in South Gate, California. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1970 for the California Angels. In 1971, his rookie year, he hit .244 with 3 home runs and 27 RBI. Griffin played for the California Angels and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 8 year career.
