Doug Frobel (Douglas Steven Frobel) was born on June 6, 1959 in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). He made his Major League debut on September 5, 1982 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1984, his rookie year, he hit .203 with 12 home runs and 28 RBI. Frobel played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 5 year career.
