Doug English (Lowell Douglas English) was born on August 25, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at Bryan Adams (Dallas, TX), English attended the University of Texas. English made his professional debut in the NFL in 1975 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Doug English's best year, as he recorded 13 sacks.
