Doug Dumler (Douglas Marvin Dumler) was born on December 15, 1950 in Hoisington, Kansas. After going to high school at Walther Lutheran (Melrose Park, IL), Dumler attended the University of Nebraska. Dumler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1977 was Doug Dumler's best year.
