Doug Dressler (Douglas J. Dressler) was born on March 19, 1948 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Las Vegas (NV), Dressler attended California State University, Chico and the College of Marin. Dressler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1972 was Doug Dressler's best year, as he ran for 565 yards, ran in 6 TDs and hauled in 39 receptions.
