[edit] Biography

Born on July 25, 1962 in Victoria, Texas, Doug Drabek (Douglas Dean Drabek) played for the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 13 year career. Drabek broke into the bigs on May 30, 1986 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 4.10 ERA in 131.2 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Doug Drabek's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1990, when he posted a 2.76 ERA, won 22 games and struck out 131 batters. However, others believe that it was 1992, when he posted a 2.77 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 177 batters.
