Doug DeCinces (Douglas Vernon DeCinces) was born on August 29, 1950 in Burbank, California. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1973 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 4 home runs and 23 RBI. DeCinces played for the Baltimore Orioles, California Angels and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Doug DeCinces's best season was 1982, when he slugged 30 home runs, hit for a .301 average and knocked in 97 runs.
