Doug Dawson (Douglas Arlin Dawson) was born on December 27, 1961 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at Memorial (Houston, TX), Dawson attended the University of Texas. Dawson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1984 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Houston Oilers, St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 8 year career.
