Doug Crothers

Born on November 16, 1859 in Natchez, Mississippi, Doug Crothers (Douglass Crothers) played for the Kansas City Unions and New York Metropolitans over the course of his 2 year career. Crothers broke into the bigs on August 3, 1884 with the Kansas City Unions, and put up a 5.08 ERA in 154 innings pitched in 1885, his rookie year.
