Doug Clemens (Douglas Horace Clemens) was born on June 9, 1939 in Leesport, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on October 2, 1960 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1964, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 3 home runs and 21 RBI. Clemens played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 9 year career.
