Doug Betters (Douglas Lloyd Betters) was born on June 11, 1956 in Lincoln, Nebraska. After going to high school at Arlington (Arlington Heights, IL), Betters attended the University of Montan and the University of Nevada-Reno. Betters made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins for his entire 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1983 was Doug Betters's best year, as he recorded 16 sacks and recovered 4 opponents fumbles.
