Donovan McNabb took part in non-contact drills Monday and practiced with the Eagles 1st team offense. This is a shock too many considering the severity of the injury he sustained last year. Donovan tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee last Nov. 19 in a game against the Tennessee Titans. McNabb wasn't scheduled to begin practicing for several more weeks. This is great news for Philadelphia Eagles fans but many, like myself, are wondering whether McNabb is rushing himself due to the Eagles pick of Kevin Kolb in the 2nd round of this year's NFL Draft. When asked about the Eagles pick of Kolb in the draft McNabb said he was shocked. But was he really shocked? He's only played in 19 games the last two seasons and isn't getting any younger. McNabb was having a MVP type season last year prior to his injury and many wonder whether the now 30 year old quarterback is going to be same. Only time will tell but for a championship starved town like Philadelphia we need immediate satisfaction and McNabb's injuries are becoming a nuisance.
