Donnie Sommer (Donald Sommer) was born on February 1, 1964 in Corsicanna, Texas. After going to high school at Bellaire (TX), Sommer attended the University of Texas-El Paso. Sommer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Buffalo Bills. He played for the Buffalo Bills for his entire 1 year career.
