Donnie Davis (Donnie Ray Davis) was born on September 18, 1940 in Opelousas, Louisiana. After going to high school at Wheatley (Houston, TX), Davis attended Southern University. Davis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1962 with the Dallas Cowboys.
Donnie Davis played 2 seasons as a Tight End in the NFL. What is most unusual about his carrer is that the seasons were 8 years apart. In 1962 he played for the Dallas Cowboys and in 1970 he played for the Houston Oilers.
Most people believe that 1962 was Donnie Davis's best year.
