Don Webb (Donald Wayne Webb) was born on May 22, 1939 in Jefferson City, Missouri. After going to high school at Jefferson City (MO), Webb attended Iowa State University. Webb made his professional debut in the AFL in 1961 with the Boston Patriots. He played in the AFL for 8 years, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time. Webb also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the New England Patriots and Boston Patriots over the course of his 2 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1961 was Don Webb's best year, as he picked off 5 passes, ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns and ran back a punt for a touchdown.
