Don Thompson

Don Thompson (Donald Newlin Thompson) was born on December 28, 1923 in Swepsonville, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 24, 1949 for the Boston Braves. In 1953, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 1 home run and 12 RBI. Thompson played for the Boston Braves and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 4 year career.
