Don Taussig (Donald Franklin Taussig) was born on February 19, 1932 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on April 23, 1958 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1961, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 2 home runs and 25 RBI. Taussig played for the San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Colt .45s over the course of his 3 year career.
