Don Straw (Donald McAlpine Straw) was born on November 22, 1896. After going to high school at Central (Detroit, MI), Straw attended Washington & Jefferson College. Straw made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Detroit Heralds. He played for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Heralds over the course of his 2 year career.
