Born on January 31, 1899 in Walnut, Kansas, Don Songer (Donald C. Songer) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants over the course of his 4 year career. Songer broke into the bigs on September 21, 1924 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.13 ERA in 126.1 innings pitched in 1926, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Don Songer's best season was 1926, when he posted a 3.13 ERA.
